Funerals
Picture
Funerals are, of course, a very sad and emotional time, however the inclusion of a bagpipe player adds extra dignity and respect and provides an unforgettable memory of the occasion.
I liaise with the funeral director as far as possible, to minimise the stressfulness of making the arrangements.
Tune preferences for the various parts of the service are very subjective, but the most popular are Flower of Scotland, Amazing Grace, Highland Cathedral and 'Going Home' -  Largo from Dvorak's New World Symphony.
I can wear a black tie as an extra mark of respect (as shown in the photograph here) or wear my standard green tie to blend in with the tartan as shown on the header page should you have a preference.
Testimonial
Hi Nigel,

I just wanted to say huge thanks again for your bagpipes performance today. It was greatly appreciated by all, and a wonderful tribute to my uncle.

The performance of Flower of Scotland was incredible and quickly became the talking point of the ceremony.

The only regret was that my uncle wasn’t there to enjoy it with us, he would have been so impressed.

In my experience it’s rare to find people who conduct themselves with such professionalism.  All communication was prompt and empathetic. You arrived in plenty of time and clearly listened attentively to our wishes.

I couldn’t fault your attitude or ability and would have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends.

Thanks again.

Michael
